  1. I would have guessed Texas to be dark green considering the amount of megachurches and how conservative they tend to be politically.

    Besides that there aren’t really any surprises.

    I wonder what the color of the map would be if they classified ‘agnosticism,’ ‘atheism,’ or ‘pluralism’ as religions. Based on the dictionary definition of the term (“a particular system of faith”) they probably qualify. After all, we wouldn’t want to leave anyone out, right?

  2. I supposed I didn’t find it surprising, but I’ve mapped out the PCA churches in the US. This map seemed to mirror the PCA map. I’m not saying the PCA is at all a gauge for religiosity in the country, but I expected PCA church distribution to look similar to the overall religiosity numbers.

  3. Thanks for the map. I am on my way to pastor an RCUS church in North Dakota so I am glad to see ND in the darker Green.

    Though if one was to measure the Reformed presence in ND it would have to then be like Montana or Washington State.
