OK, I admit it. I am not perfect.

As I continue to work my way through Collin Hansen’s Young, Restless, Reformed I have discovered to my amazement that he has mentioned old line Reformed denominations. Well, almost old line. His chapter on Jonathan Edwards, “Big Man on Campus” (referring to Yale) interacts with Edwards scholar and pastor Josh Moody and also the Yale Reformed University Fellowship and its minister Clay Daniel. Wouldn’t you know it, RUF is the campus ministry of the PCA. And Collin even interviewed Dr. Ligon Duncan, the senior minister of historic (make sure you hear that in your head as a deep, dignified, and stentorian southern voice) First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, Mississippi where RUF got its start.

So I need to apologize for rushing to judgment on this book in the first post I wrote on it where I complained about Collin not giving space to us old line Reformed folks. So far it is an exciting read. Now I am heading down to Louisville, KY (that is Lou-uh-vull)-in my mind at least-to read about Collin’s encounter with Al Mohler, the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. This ought to be fascinating.

Gee. I wonder if Collin interviewed R. Scott Clark over at Wesminster Seminary California?!
