I don’t post a lot of pictures on this blog, but I wanted to put this one up from our trip to Hilton Head, Is. for a few reasons. It reminds me what a blessing children are from the Lord. It also reminds me that I should spend as much time as possible with my family.

I agree wholeheartedly with your comment. As 1 Peter 5:3 calls us to be “examples to the flock” we as pastors need to pastor our families (which involves significant time devoted to them) as part of our modeling for the flock which God has given to us.
May the Lord grant you the wisdom to balance the heavy demands of the pastorate with the necessary work of shepherding your wee flock.
