Of the Making of Many Books There is No End Recommendation #13
Most of our readers will have some familiarity with the writings of Robert Candlish, the 19th century Scottish minister of the Gospel. Candlish is remembered, in our day, mostly for his book on the atonement, the fatherhood of God, his work on 1 Corinthians 15, and his commentary on 1 John. Until a few weeks ago I was not familiar with his commentary on Ephesians. Candlish has written essays on various parts of the book of Ephesians. You can access most of this work here. You will see what rich exposition Candlish is capable of by simply reading the first chapter, “In the Heavenlies.”
You can find the other post in the series “Of the Making of Many Books There is No End” here.
