A Helpful Plan to Grow in Grace

Steve Burlew, manager of the Banner of Truth, has posted about an interesting challenge raised by one pastor to his congregation. You can access that post here. Essentially the challenge is to read one Puritan Paperback a month starting at the beginning of the new year. This is a much better challenge than my last years New Year resolution to get a gym membership. I got the gym membership and have benefited a little but this sounds like it will be very profitable–as Paul said “for this life and the life to come.” There is a special offer at the Banner website on the Puritan Paperbacks right now. You can buy any 5 for $34.00. I am excited about the challenge because Sinclair Ferguson recommended Samuel Bolton’s True Bounds of Christian Freedom at the 2007 Banner of Truth Minister’s Conference. The challenge will help keep me accountable to read what I know will be spiritually profitable.
