Carl Trueman Against Narnia, Pro Golden Compass?

Carl Trueman has a very interesting, and I believe accurate, analysis of the way Christians are reacting to the movie The Golden Compass. Trueman’s premise is simple. When The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe came out Christians made a huge deal out of it as if it was the most theologically sound movie ever produced. In fact, Lewis paints an inadequate view of the atonement that Trueman suggests will lead your children astray if they really believe it is the biblical view. That being said, perhaps Christians should not speak out so vehemently against an explicitely non-Christian movie–unless they are willing to boycott everything that is not biblical. I suppose I might take a via media by saying that I could watch Narnia through the lens of Reformed theology (or at least critique it for myself and my family through that lens) while I might not go to see Golden Compass at all (unless of course it is for shere entertainment value, the way I would watch a cartoon like the Simpsons for the same reason). Anyway, Trueman’s post is thought provoking. You can read it here and decide for yourself.

  1. Search Engine Optimization is very important part of online
marketing activities, so MBA in marketing or other graduates who want to do MBA in future, are very well suited and desired by companies for these jobs.
The popular pages with more likes get better ranks in the search engine optimization. Most
businesses are realizing that they must make the transition to web based marketing
or risk losing ground to their many competitors.
