William Still Sermons

Over the years I have gathered several mp3 sermon series by the late Rev. William Still. The lives of some of the most influential pastors and theologians such as Sinclair Ferguson, Eric AlexanderPhil Ryken and Ian Hamilton have been greatly impacted by the life and ministry of Rev. Still. I too have greatly benefited from listening to Still’s sermons and reading his writings; and, and glad to see that Christian Focus has recently reprinted two of his more more well known works, Toward Spiritual Maturity and Work of the PastorWork of the Pastor is a must read for every minister, and Toward Spiritual Maturity ought to be read by every Christian. The first three chapters of Toward Spiritual Maturity–which cover the three dimensions of the cross–are exceedingly beneficial for Christian growth.

I have long wished that his sermon series would be made available online. Now it appears that several have been posted at Tapes from Scotland. John Hendryx, over at Monergism has done an enormous service by gathering all those available sermon audio into their respective expositional categories. I will upload more of Still’s expositional series in the weeks ahead. For now, enjoy the following:

Great man he was,i remember him doing a great series in Romans(June 1992).and his strong condemnation of immorality, and how annoyed he was that an old church building had been turned into a dancing club called ‘ministry of sin”
